Who I am
I'm Alison Yama, a pricing consultant, executive advisor, and coach with more than 20 years of experience helping companies improve growth, profitability, and commercial performance through better pricing.
Throughout my career, I've worked both as a consultant and as an in-house pricing leader, giving me a practical understanding of what it takes to drive change inside organizations. I've advised private equity portfolio companies, high-growth businesses, and Fortune 1000 enterprises across technology, manufacturing, med-tech, and professional services. My work spans pricing strategy, packaging design, AI monetization, commercial transformation, and sales enablement.
Today, I advise select clients on their most important pricing and commercialization challenges, helping leadership teams answer critical questions around value, differentiation, growth, and monetization. From pricing new AI-powered capabilities to redesigning product portfolios and implementing pricing transformations, I focus on strategies that create measurable business impact.
I am also passionate about advancing the pricing profession. Through coaching, I help pricing professionals build influence, strengthen leadership skills, and accelerate their careers. Having spent decades navigating the pressures, complexities, and organizational challenges that pricing leaders face, I understand the realities of the role and how to help others succeed in it.
When I'm not working with clients or fellow pricing professionals, you'll find me spending time with my family, gardening, serving on the board of the Framingham History Center, or at the barn with my horses.
